Quail on Toast
Hopefully there are a couple of leftover quail from the recipe above. Pull the meat from the bones prior to refrigerating the leftovers. Combine the meat and the remaining sauce and refrigerate. Reheat the following day for a decadent breakfast or easy supper, and serve the quail and sauce over buttered toast .
Serves 4
8–10 quail
1 cup seasoned flour
2–3 tablespoons oil
2–3 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 onions, chopped
8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
1 (10-ounce) can Campbell's Golden Mushroom Soup
2 cups whole milk
